// BIM AUTOMATION · ROI MATRIX

Estimate the Impact of BIM Automation.

Explore how repetitive BIM workflows affect engineering capacity and operational costs, and assess the potential value of targeted automation.

The Problem: Manual coordination, repetitive data entry and fragmented BIM workflows consume valuable engineering time.

The Impact: Recurring operational tasks can reduce delivery capacity, increase coordination overhead and limit the time available for higher-value engineering work.

The Solution: Targeted automation using tools such as Revit scripting, Python and C# can streamline repetitive operations and support more consistent digital delivery.

What the Matrix Delivers

  • Identify Operational InefficienciesEstimate how repetitive BIM tasks contribute to time and cost overhead.
  • Explore Automation ScenariosCompare conservative, expected and optimized adoption assumptions.
  • Support Investment DecisionsUse structured financial estimates to inform conversations about automation priorities.

pyBIM supports engineering and AEC teams with BIM modeling, Scan-to-BIM, model coordination, digital delivery workflows and targeted automation. The scope of each engagement is defined around project requirements, available documentation and technical deliverables. Explore our complete range on the Services page.
Start with the project type, current stage, required services, engineering disciplines, expected deliverables and indicative timeline. Details such as model formats, BIM requirements and existing project documentation can help us assess the scope more effectively. You can share these details directly in our Project Enquiry form.
pyBIM can discuss remote and cross-border collaboration with engineering firms, architects and BIM teams. Project delivery arrangements, coordination workflows, applicable standards and communication requirements are agreed according to the scope and location of each engagement.
Confidentiality requirements can be reviewed before sensitive project information is shared. Where appropriate, we can discuss nondisclosure agreements, access restrictions and project-specific data-handling arrangements. The applicable protections depend on the agreed scope, systems and delivery model.
The ROI Matrix uses operational assumptions such as team size, hourly labor cost, repetitive-work hours and working weeks to structure potential automation scenarios. Its outputs are estimates rather than guaranteed savings. Access to the full workbook is subject to the applicable review and delivery process. You can evaluate your baseline parameters in the ROI Matrix section.
Complete the Private Access application with your organization details, technical environment, deployment preferences and intended use. Phase II is currently being evaluated with selected companies and trusted professionals in controlled private environments. New applications are reviewed individually, and submission does not guarantee acceptance. You can submit your requirements in the Private Access section.
The current target window for the next Phase II release stage is Q2–Q4 2027. This is an indicative planning window and may change as development, integration testing, reliability checks and security validation continue. Private access opportunities are managed separately through the application process.
Project enquiries and Phase II private-access applications follow separate review processes. Where a submission is successfully received, the relevant team can assess the information provided and determine appropriate next steps. Follow-up depends on the nature of the request, and submitting an application does not guarantee access or a response within a fixed timeframe.
